4rd floor: Part of Contaminated Water Tank, part of Contaminated Oxygen "Pipe", Bathroom (with Outhouse and Hand Sanitizer), Bedrooms (with fine art), Dining Room (with more fine art, and another Hand Sanitizer for washing hands before and after meals), and part of Carbon Dioxide "Pipe". 5th floor: Top of Contaminated Water tank, top of Contaminated Oxygen "Pipe", enclosed Compost pile, enclosed Bio-Distiller, Research Stations, Kitchen, enclosed Coal Generator, and top of Carbon Dioxide "Pipe".
Most optimal layout for spawners generator#
Top floor: Hydrogen Generator (since its fuel source, Hydrogen, accumulates on top, since it's the least densest gas in the game). So basically, if I had to visualize my base, this would be what it could look like, from left to right (or right to left): To further streamline the design of the base, perhaps all the Cots could be placed next to the Bathroom (in case anyone needs to be relieved at night) all the Massage Tables could be placed next to the Cots (so that they'd most likely be in the middle of the base, away from all the Contaminated Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide), and possibly near a bathroom as well and all the Dining Tables could be placed next to the Cots, Massage Tables, or both even, and close to all the Mealwood planters and cooking stations that would be right below and above it respectively? Perhaps one extra Hand Sanitizing station could be placed next to all these Dining Tables (opposite the side with the Bathroom), while the Medbay could be placed in-between that extra Hand Sanitizing station, and the aforementioned Carbon Dioxide vent at one of the edges of the base? Perhaps the side opposite the coal generator and Algae Terrariums would be the best place to put all the waste management and waterworks facilities, with the Shower, Outhouse, and Hand Sanitizer occupying the middle floor an enclosed Compost pile and Bio-Distiller occupying the upper corner, with another vent to push Contaminated Oxygen to some Air Deodorizers on the bottom corner (or alternatively, to a Puft Farm underneath the base) a Contaminated Water tank on the outer edge to contain all the sewage produced within the Bathroom and the Purified Water tank just above the Air Deodorizers (or Puft Farms), so that it's close to the plants, Algae Terrariums, and Bathroom that'll need it? Since the coal generator produces Carbon Dioxide, which is more dense than Oxygen, perhaps that should be placed within a sealed room, on one of the upper corners of the base, with an enclosed vent (not necessarily a gas pipe or pump mind you) connecting it to the Algae Terrariums, which would be best located directly underneath the coal generator, so that they, along with the vent, would occupy either the left or right side of the base? That way, while all of the Carbon Dioxide would still flow to the bottom to be turned into Oxygen by the Algae Terrariums, it would flow around where all the Duplicants would most likely work and relax. Perhaps the best place to put all the things that are needed for the Duplicants to comfortably fulfill all their needs, including Cots, Massage Tables, Medical Bays, Dining Tables, and the Bathroom and Shower, would be in the middle floors that sit comfortably between the hotter upper floors and cooler but less breathable lower floors? Of course, some other facilities would need to be kept close by (such as the Cooking Stations, Refrigerators, and Mealwood planters near the Dining Tables, or the Compost near the Outhouse, to name a few). Since Carbon Dioxide and Contaminated Oxygen are both denser than regular Oxygen, and will thus sink below it, perhaps the bottom-most floor could be populated with Algae Terrariums for Carbon Dioxide management, while the floor directly above it could be for planting Mealwood, and perhaps the occasional Air Deodorizer or 2 could be located along these 2 bottom-most floors to better deal with whatever Contaminated Oxygen accumulates down there (most likely a by-product of certain Duplicant activities)? Perhaps a small air filtration system could be installed just below the Algae Terrariums, in case some Chlorine needs to be filtered into a containment area (which could possibly double as a storeroom for all the Bleach Stone)? Since hot air rises, perhaps the best place to put all your heat-producing machinery (including your power generators, research stations, compost piles, bio-distiller, showers, and possibly your cooking stations) would be at the top of your base? So, I'd like to brainstorm what the best base layouts would be.Īlthough I'm unable to test this, from what I understand about the game's mechanics, I think I have an idea for a base that I'd personally want to build:

Although I don't have the game myself, I've been watching others play it, and I'd like to help them build a better base.
